Drug Take-Back Day – October 22

pillsLocal law enforcement and the Drug Enforcement Administration are teaming up once again for a prescription drug take back event.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, law enforcement agencies on Whidbey Island will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of expired, unused and unwanted medication.

People can take their drugs to the Oak Harbor Police Department on Barrington Drive, the Coupeville Marshal’s Office on Northeast Seventh Street and the Island County Sheriff’s Office precinct office at 5521 East Harbor Road in Freeland.
