Is Whidbey Changing?

TomT120618 copyThis is the question being discussed next Thursday (12/6/18) at 6:30 pm at the Langley Library by Tom Trimbath, a broker in our Coldwell Banker Tara Properties Bayview office. Per Tom, “Growth versus preservation has always been a balancing act, and is amplified by Seattle’s record setting real estate market. The island is more complex and so is the housing market, the local economy, and our culture(s).” Come by and join in the discussion with Tom and members of our community.

Whidbey Island ComiCon

ComiconWhidbey Island is having its own Comicon on April 7 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Oak Harbor Library.  This is from the Sno-Isle Library site:

All ages and fandoms will find something of interest with:

* Panels

* Geek Training Room to burn up some young energy
* Gaming Room for all levels of role playing experience
* Introvert’s Alley for a break whenever needed
* Scavenger hunt through the Oak Harbor Library
* Costume contest

Test out your newest cosplay, or just grab a red shirt and communicator (we hope you make it through the episode!).

An important note: because this event is taking place at both the Oak Harbor Library and Skagit Valley College campus, there is a strict no weapons policy (even fake ones). We’re sorry for any frustration this may cause, but safety is our priority!
