Computer Recycling

Scott Lincoln

On Wednesday, September 11, Lincoln Computers in Clinton will be hosting a free Computer Recycling event. Bring your desktops or laptops. They will remove or destroy the hard drive and then recycle the rest. A great way to keep these materials out of our landfills. Thanks, Scott.

Asphalt Roof Shingle Recycling? Yes!

If you plan to re-roof your home, check out this article on how to keep the old asphalt shingles out of the dump and contribute to the recycling program. The shingles are used to make roads. You can check out a recycler in your area by going to ShingleRecycling.org. There are several in the Seattle area. And, as a bonus, the recycling fee is often less expensive than dump fees.

Free Computer Disposal

Free computer disposal and recycling will be available at Lincoln Computers in Clinton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Organizers of the event said only desktop and laptop computers will be eligible for this service; no monitors, printers, etc.

People dropping off computers can watch as experts remove the computer’s hard drive, then use a hydraulic log splitter to crush the data storage device.

Lincoln Computers is located at 9257 Highway 525. Call 341-2526 for more information.
